This wonderful vacation apartment in a top location in Beatenberg offers you a beautiful view of the mountains of the Jungfrau region. From both bedrooms you can admire the beauty of the Swiss mountains ? and this practically from your bed.
The spacious and functionally furnished vacation apartment is located on the second floor of a 19th century farmhouse and was renovated in the 90s. The owner lives in the same house. However, you reach your apartments via a separate entrance. Due to the great location, with the nearest neighbors about 100m away, you can relax in a quiet atmosphere, conjure up delicacies in the kitchen and end the evenings in the living room. On warm summer evenings, the communal barbecue and seating area, which is shared with the owner, will entice you. Your privacy is respected by the owner, but he will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
Please note that in certain rooms the ceiling is only about 1.80m high and taller people have to pull in their head from time to time.
Roam through the natural surroundings and make a visit to the show dairy Alp Heubühlen. Take a bike tour to the Grünenberg pass or swim in the open-air swimming pool of Habkern (neighboring municipality, operation June to September). The region of Beatenberg offers you a wonderful view of Lake Thun in the Thal and the 'famous three'. Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau in the distance. Away from the tourist crowds you can relax here ideally and let your soul dangle in the free nature.
Not to forget the popular excursion destinations nearby. Visit the UNESCO Biosphere Entlebuch, which is only a 90-minute drive away, or take a trip to the Beatushölen, to the Jungfraujoch via Interlaken or to the impressive Aare Gorge near Meiringen. In addition, the owner recommends excursions to: Harder, Schynige Platte, Brienz (with great lake), Brienzer Rothorn, Spiez, Zweisimmen, Lenk, Gstaad, or Kandersteg (via Lötschberg: Interlaken-Brig in Valais by train 1h) as well as the cities of Thun and Bern with historic and UNESCO protected old town.
Hike through high moors and karst fields and enjoy the peace and quiet on a leisurely walk along the Beatusweg from the Waldegg district to the village center. On the play and adventure trail you will learn a lot about the legend of St. Beatus.
Ideal hikes (tips from the owner): Niederhorn, Burgfeldstand, Gemmenalp with many hiking routes back to Beatenberg, Justistal, Sigriswil, Lake Thun, return trip by boat (Poatauto from Interlaken included in guest card), Waldegg, Habkern with show dairy Alp Heubühlen (Postbus for return trip included in guest card).
