About the accommodation
Arrive, open the door and let the relaxation begin - because the lovingly furnished Chalet Mergoscia is already equipped with everything you need for a relaxing holiday: from the cosy tiled stove to the large freezer, the fondue and raclette dishes to the children's toys and piano. Here you don't feel like you're in a sterile holiday flat, but like you're visiting good friends. Outside, an enchanted palm garden with pool, pergolas, sandpit and swing is waiting to be discovered by guests of all ages.
The pool is open from around mid-April to the end of October. Access is via several steps from the street. Therefore not suitable for disabled or elderly people.

Room layout
Chalet Mergoscia has two bedrooms, each with a double bed and a cot, and is designed for four people. On the ground floor there is a cosy living room with a cosy sofa and fireplace as well as a spacious dining room.

Excursion options: Activities and experiences
- Explore the protected Verzasca Valley
- Cross the Verzasca river over the "Ponte dei salti" Roman bridge, built in the Middle Ages
- Swing from tree to tree in the Gordola rope park
- Visit the 220 metre high Contra dam, made world famous by James Bond's spectacular bungee jump in the film "Golden Eye"
- Refresh yourself in the hotel's own pool (3x6 m) after a strenuous hike
- Organise cosy barbecue evenings under the pergolas in the garden

Location description: Location and connections
The property is situated on a south-facing slope on the edge of the picturesque mountain village of Mergoscia with views over the Verzasca Valley. Just a few metres behind the house, the small roads turn into wonderful hiking trails. The popular centres of Locarno and Ascona can be reached in around 30 minutes by car or public transport.

Es lagen am Anreisetag einige Chlortabs am Boden die sich bis am Ende der Woche nicht vollständig auflösen. Nach 3 Tagen bildeten sich Algen an den Wänden.”
