Alp-Ell with spear view

The Speerblick hut on the Alp-Ell. Farmed by the Schmid organic farm. - Sleeps 10.
The alpine hut is newly remodelled. A cosy eat-in kitchen and a comfortable living room await you.
The bathroom with shower will also delight every guest. The new photos will follow later!
Fully furnished, cooking and eating utensils, wood heating, 7 beds with duvets and suits available per person 30.00 and 3 mattresses. Seating area with bench, barbecue.

Alpine pasture: Our cows spend the summer on a high alp in Glarnerland and on the lower Bäche Ebnat - Kappel alp.

How to find Alp Ell
Toggenburg is located in the centre of eastern Switzerland, a good hour's drive from Zurich and the airport.
From the south of Germany:
Via Bregenz and St. Margrethen on the A13 motorway to Haag, then towards Toggenburg/Wildhaus or via Constance to Wil.
From the greater Zurich area:
Direction Rapperswil, then over the Ricken Pass to Wattwil or via Winterthur in the direction of Wil/Wattwil/Toggenburg.
Public transport:
You can also get around Toggenburg by public transport. The Wil-Neusslau and St Gallen - Lichtensteig routes are served by rail. And there are bus connections almost everywhere.

In the winter months from December to March, you have to take the chairlift from Krummenau to Alp Ell.
Then it's another 300 metres straight ahead on foot to Alp Ell.
You can request transport for your luggage from the railway and then everything will be transported to the hut.
Costs 30. If the lift is not running, we also provide transport as far as possible at a cost of 30.- per journey.
In the winter months, please make sure you arrive at the Krummenau valley station by 4 pm because you have to take the chairlift up, the cable car will not run later!

Our animals
We have suckler cows with calves on our farm. The animals are on the alp in summer.

Excursion possibilities: Barefoot trail through the high moor, hike up the Speer
