One of the wealthiest towns in Italy, certainly worldly and historic site of the highly prestigious Riva shipyards, characterized by a particularly mild summer climate, Sarnico overlooks the lake and forms its extreme southern shore. It connects the two provinces of Bergamo and Brescia and is very close to the famous Franciacorta wineries. On the lake it is possible to practice kite and windsurf, rowing, water skiing, and wander around by boat; in the village you can admire towers, castles, walls and medieval fortresses, as well as various Art Nouveau villas built by the local Faccanoni family.

Just over an hour from Milan, Bergamo and their respective international airports, Lake Iseo is characterized by Montisola, the largest lake island in Southern and Central Europe and a valuable tourist destination, reachable by dedicated motorboats which, all where necessary, they also transport tourists to the numerous food and wine destinations along the lake; water sports are practicable thanks to the numerous rental services. A very short distance away are the Franciacorta wineries, nearby Zone with its natural pyramids, the Torbiere del Sebino Reserve, Valcamonica for archaeological tourism with its 300,000 rock engravings, Boario for the thermal baths and the slopes of Monte Pora, Montecampione and Colere for walking and skiing.
